want to duplicate the - true - statements in the other testimonials,
just one thing should tell it all: NovaMind set a personal
record for me. That is: first shareware ever purchased within
1 hour after downloading the trial version.
After moving from
Win XP back to Mac OS (after moving in the opposite direction 5 years
ago) the only application I was really missing was Mind Manager and for
a while I was afraid I would have to live with outlining tools such as
OmniOutliner or Notebook (which are both very good products I do
recommend if outlining is what you want to do). But outlining tools do
not offer the amount of assistance and visual clarity in
developing complex concepts, while being an enormous
time saver in being a development, presentation and
marketing tool at the same time.
Honestly, I have
been involved in several large-scale international consulting
projects and the difference between showing decision makers an
outline (or presentation) and allowing them to actually "feel" how much
effort and thought went into creating "their" solution by presenting a
Mind Map is enormous and priceless.
NovaMind offers
exactly that while even being easier to use than the Windows counter
part. Add to that the reasonable pricing and (compared to many other
current Mac OS X apps) broad import/export capabilities... (cannot even
think of words to describe my happiness finding out how well the Mind
Manager import works having more than 1700 of them at hand) this is a
must have. Love it.

| Something that is
often overlooked by software companies is the cost in time it takes to
become productive with new software. I was able after looking at just a
few examples and a few minutes of trial and error to produce useful
maps in NovaMind. It grows on you really fast considering that I'm new
to the concept.
After literally
playing for about an hour I invited some associates to come see, and
was able to interpret for them their ideas. They could easily see just
how complex their work was and how easily things could now be sorted
and tracked. I'm building what will be my super desktop.
Since I discovered
linking, I can launch: my morning news browsing, background music,
current documents and applications including nested mind-maps. This is
really a fun toy, yet the productivity boost I cannot begin to
estimate. And I did look at others before spending my money. As I said
before, the most important thing to me is my time. I did not have to
take a course to use it, and more important I did not have to teach any
one how to read it. No frustration, I'm really having FUN, unburdening
my mind, and getting work done.

lots of Mac software companies since 1986, and was even flown to
Seattle as an advanced beta tester for Adobe InDesign, but I have never
found anything that compares with the outstanding customer
experience your company provides. Feedback is easy to give, it
is responded to, and ideas are actually incorporated into new releases.
Promises of new releases are kept. Promises of letting us know about
updates are kept. Core features that worked, but could be better, are
(like the way branches are moved and reattached - I'm giddy just trying
it now). Really useful features are added. The Controlled Layout option
is an essential speed enhancer when I am really collecting thoughts
quickly - no more messing around with "Auto Arrange" just so I don't
have things overlapping. And, with all the changes, there are no
feelings of "why on earth did they change the key command for ...."
which are so typical of other updates. Room for improvement? Sure.
Currently satisfied customer? Absolutely. Bravo, ladies and gentlemen. You
set the standard. |

a film project and have completely fallen in love
with NovaMind. It has been a tremendous tool for
creating both the film's treatment and Keynote presentation. I was
excited to see the Screenwriting Module added with version 2.x. Though
I've used Final Draft for years, ever since OS X arrived I've been
yearning for someone to write a native/cocoa application for
screenwriting and to have it utilize the Services feature of OS X. From
my perspective, having the screenwriting integrated with a mind mapping
application will just be fantastic! In its initial version the
Screenwriting Module has got the basics, and I'm hopeful that it will
mature into a Final Draft competitor. |
